Dr Gillian Clare

Dr Clare was appointed as a member in April 2002. She has over 20 years experience at senior level in genetic toxicology testing and assessment of the mutagenic potential of chemicals in agrochemical, pharmaceutical and contract research environment. This has covered all areas, but she has particular expertise in cytogenetic studies to investigate the clastogenicity of chemicals.

Dr Clare has also been a member of the Veterinary Residues Committee (VRC) since January 2009 and the Advisory Committe on Hazardous Substances (ACHS) since July 2008.
